Founder & Executive Director
Aubrey Guzman founded Roots to Leadership to cultivate what she believes the nonprofit sector is ready for. A community where leaders grow with intention, where practitioners learn alongside one another, and where the sector invests in its own people with the same care it brings to its missions.
She leads with the conviction that great nonprofit leadership is built, not bestowed. It takes root through practice, widens through community, and matures through service. That conviction shapes every part of what Roots to Leadership is growing into. Aubrey approaches her role as a practitioner first.
Her career in the sector has given her a close view of how organizations work, how leaders develop, and how the people inside nonprofits carry the mission forward. That perspective is why the community she is building feels different. The learning reflects the real texture of the work. The conversations respect the intelligence of the people in the room. The programming is designed to send people back to their organizations stronger than they arrived.
